Boost Your Essential Skills

If you are involved in facilitating, instructing or debriefing using simulation-based education, learn how the Cleveland Clinic Simulation Faculty Development Program can boost your essential skills and improve the quality of your simulation education.

This accelerated program, which requires just two days away from your organization, comprises two parts:

Online self-study (4-6 hours)

Prerequisite asynchronous learning begins three weeks before onsite workshop. The self-study takes approximately four to six hours to complete. The online study includes:
  • Baseline knowledge pre-test
  • Confidence and experience self-reporting survey
  • Introduction to simulation
  • Establishing goals and objectives
  • Assessment in simulation
  • Basics of debriefing
  • Videos, discussion boards and reading assignments
Onsite workshop (two days)

Held at the Cleveland Clinic main campus in Cleveland, Ohio, the onsite workshop includes:
  • Adult and experiental learning theories
  • Reflective feedback
  • Fundamentals of debriefing
  • Artful questioning
  • Facilitation within simulation
  • Simple and team-based case building
  • Advocacy/inquiry techniques and practices
  • Multiple hands-on, highly interactive modalities
This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™

Tuition (Non-Cleveland Clinic Only)
Tuition of $725 includes online materials for the online self-study, two-day interactive workshop, parking and breakfast and lunch on both days.

Registration is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Teams from the same organization are welcome to attend.
